Description
Summary:Background and Aims: The aim of the present study was to investigate the relationship between physical activity and body image and health-promoting behaviors of students in 2024. Materials and Methods: The research method is correlational in terms of the applied goal and the type of data analysis. The statistical population is all the male students of the third year of the second secondary level of mathematics, physics and experimental sciences in the city of Torbet Jam in the academic year of 2024, of which 214 students were selected by available sampling method. The research tools of Walker et al.'s health-promoting behaviors questionnaire (1997), Shahlai's physical activity questionnaire (2013) and Soeto and Garcia's body image questionnaire (2002) were used. Pearson's correlation coefficient and regression were used to analyze the data. Result: the results showed that: There is a significant positive relationship between physical activity and health promoting behaviors of students. There is a significant positive relationship between physical activity and body image of students. Also, the result showed that physical activity predicts health-promoting behaviors and body image of students. Conclusion: It seems that one of the ways to increase health-promoting behaviors and increase body image satisfaction is physical activity.
