Summary:Physical and mechanical properties of foamed heat-insulating material based on alkali silicate composition and shungite were investigated. The studies determined the ratio of the components of the charge with which it is possible to obtain the optimal ratio of mechanical properties/thermal conductivity. Found that composite materials obtained from shungite filler, have a more porous structure (up to 76% of the volume of the material) and are more uniform distribution of pore size (from 0.11 to 0.2 mm)
