Commodification of culture has become the Frankfurt school of thought inheriting Marx long ago known as the neo-Marxian critical theory and political economy theory. The political economy of the media plays a major role in seeing the structure of the media and the content therein, including the commodification of literature in the mass media.   Keywords: mass media, literature, political economy media, commodification
