Ethyl 4<i>H</i>-Pyran-4-one-2-carboxylate
The title compound was characterised for the first time by <sup>13</sup>C NMR, including the determination of CH coupling constants, and its X-ray structure was determined, showing double ribbons of molecules in the crystal held together by weak CH to O=C hydrogen bonds.
