Description
Summary:This article is part of the research project UBACyT (2018/2020) University Systems Transformations in Latin America: adaptation to the trends of the new international scenario and globalization. Recent strategies and modalities of virtualization of higher education, and its objectives focused on investigating the impact of forced virtualization modality of teaching on educational community. At first , more than five hundred polls were carried out with university students and last year of middle school students, and also with university teachers, and, later, depth interviews with university professors were done , all of them involved in this virtualization process. We present here the results of the first survey of information about the impact on university teachers and students of changes that occurred as a result of the transfer of the face-to-face course to virtuality in 2020. We wanted to know their opinions and see what issues became central and are raised for discussion. The information obtained allowed us to get an overview of the present educational situation, taking as a resource the beliefs and perceptions of the actors involved.
