Description
Summary:In order to avoid the construction risk caused by chemical sources in the radioactive logging of highly deviated wells, long horizontal wells and complex operating conditions, to obtain the formation data safely and efficiently, the controllable-source neutron porosity logging while drilling (LWD) tool can be used. The neutron generator is based on a single chip processor, and the target pressure feedback circuit is introduced to form an autonomous closed-loop control to improve the stability of neutron yield. The integrated array arrangement of multiple He-3 tubes is adopted to increase thermal neutron count and reduce statistical fluctuation. The tool structure is rationally arranged, the neutron generator drill collar water hole is placed in the center, and the He-3 tube is symmetrical distributed 180° to reduce the influence of tool eccentricity and hole clearance. Optimize neutron counting ratio parameters to improve tool sensitivity. The field test of the LWD tool in Daqing oilfield shows that the neutron porosity logging curve is consistent with the wireline logging and meets the requirements of the evaluation.
