| Summary: | This research conducted a literature review related to container transport using documents registered in the Scopus and Web of Science databases over the past 12 years. Bibliometric tools were applied to develop a scientific mapping and network analysis based on the characteristics of documents published in the field, main authors, journals, and countries. Three research trends related to the logistics distribution network, intermodal transport, and route optimization were identified. Finally, future research lines derived from the analyzed documents are proposed. |
