In the present work we gather the available sources—edited and unpublished—to analyze its liturgical, festive and ceremonial dimensions, reconstructing the political objectives and ideological messages that projected a new ideal of peace under the Spanish-French alliance. With its religious and palatine splendour, the Savona Summit allowed Louis XII to overcome his international isolation, and Ferdinand to restore his image on the eve of his return to the Iberian Peninsula. |
