Summary:Taiwan is a multi-religious country and the religions have a certain influence on society. This study found that religion indeed plays a significant role in Taiwan. Taiwan society is highly diversified in terms of religious belief. Almost religious organization has its own doctrine. Does religion unite or divide Taiwan society? More or less, religions indeed play a role in Taiwan, but it also may not have the function of divide society. However, on the issue of same-sex marriage, some political parties are still fighting on the LGBT rights. On the other hand, in order to get votes from religious beliefs people, some parties advocated the abolition of the same-marriage law. Homosexual remains a controversial issue.
