Description
Summary:Sinus of Valsalva aneurysms (SOVA) arises most commonly from the right coronary sinus of the aorta. It causes aortic sinus dilatation above the annulus and occurs due to the weakness of the elastic lamina. In our case, a 63-year-old man came with complaints of insidious-onset and progressive exertional dyspnea and fatigue for the last 6 months. He was in NYHA functional class III. On examination, right-sided heart failure signs were noted. He was treated with antifailure medications and stabilized. Two-dimensional echocardiogram and cardiac computed tomography were done and a diagnosis was made.
