description Rheological modeling is widely used to study the behavior of the material during loading. The law of behavior of the rheological model is described by a differential equation. In the second order of the equation and above there are difficulties in solving, associated with the determination of initial conditions. In this article we consider a general method of determination the initial conditions for the subsequent solution of the differential equation of the model. The study of the behavior of the rheological model at an infinitely small time interval allows us to obtain the necessary initial conditions.
