Description
Summary:This article aims to elicit necropolitical representations and practices in the work O avesso da pele, by Jeferson Tenório, evidenced, mainly, from the life trajectories of the characters Henrique and Martha, recovered by the memorialistic narrative of their son Pedro, in which the parents assume, respectively, the symbology of a wound in the stomach and a bottomless well. In this context, the methodology is to perceive how O avesso da pele, a contemporary novel, unmasks multiple forms of violence employed on marginalized bodies, in which the city of Porto Alegre can be apprehended as a metonym of the very country of which it is a part. It is expected, with this analysis, to reaffirm, as a conclusion of the study, the insurgent character of literature in the fight against the violence experienced, daily, by the black population in Brazil, being, in itself, a new way to represent, to resist and to transform the necropolitical scenario that exists, in this territory, since colonial Brazil.
