description The paper describes methodology for calculation of the force action of hydraulic stream on the colmatated screen of a water intake well when a gas-impulsive recovery method of well discharge rate is used.On the basis of the momentum change equation taking into account a number of assumptions an analytical dependence is obtained to determine the force acting on the filter/screen wall at the moment of maximum water stream velocity. This methodology may be applied while using different gaseous energy carriers in water wells and establishes a connection between the force acting on the screen wall and main geometric and energy parameters of the blasting chamber taking into account the destruction of colmatage matter and provision of filter strength.
