Description
Summary:This case study highlights the effective management of severe oligozoospermia using innovative sperm vitrification techniques. A 32-year-old woman and her 38-year-old husband sought treatment for primary infertility after three years of unsuccessful attempts to conceive. The male partner was diagnosed with severe oligozoospermia, which means having a low sperm count of 2 million/ml progressive motility and abnormal morphology. Advanced vitrification technology was employed to preserve 13 viable spermatozoa. The female partner’s hormonal profile was normal with no reproductive issues, and she underwent ovarian stimulation, leading to the retrieval of 12 mature oocytes. After thawing, 10 spermatozoa were used for ICSI, achieving fertilization in six oocytes. Two blastocysts were transferred, while the remaining were cryopreserved for future attempts.
