description Aiming at the problems of weak sensor acquisition signal, serious marginal effect, and insignificant change in dielectric constant in the electrical capacitance tomography (ECT) system, an optimized design scheme of ECT sensor based on multiple excitation modes is proposed. This scheme optimizes the physical parameters of the sensor and adopts adjacent double the electrode excitation mode is used for detection, which increases the intensity of the sensitive field, and obtains more capacitance values in a measurement process, which effectively increases the number of signals collected by the sensor and the acquisition accuracy. The experimental results show that the ECT sensor with multiple excitation modes can effectively increase the excitation signal strength, reduce the marginal effect, improve the internal sensitivity matrix of the sensor, increase the accuracy of the acquisition signal, and significantly improve the image reconstruction quality.
