Description
Summary:In order to make clear the genotypes of infectious bronchitis virus (IBV) isolated in Zhejiang province. cDNA of the S1 gene of five IBV isolates from different regions, including four nephropathogenic isolates J, X, W, N and one proventriculus isolates ZJ971, and one reference strain H120, were amplified by reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction and digested with restriction enzymes Hae Ⅲ, Sty Ⅰ, Pst Ⅰ, and Ksp632 Ⅰ. The patterns of restriction fragment length polymorphism analysis showed that isolate ZJ971 was the same genotype as strain H120. IBV isolates. J, W, Xand N have identical genotype. However, their RFLP patterns were different from other nephropathogenic IBV isolate reported in the literature, such as the classic nephropathogenic strains T, Gray and Holte, and the respiratory strain H120. The results indicated that isolates J, X, W, N were putative variant strains of IBV.
