Description
Summary:The article deals with the problems of interaction between two functional zones: residential and industrial. It is suggested that there are urban planning contradictions that do not allow the industrial zone to be fully integrated into urban space. Among these, the most significant contradictions are the scale, formation, and planning organization. The study of these contradictions has allowed us to conclude that industrial zones are fundamentally irreducible to residential developments, which leads us to reconsider the placing of industrial zones in cities at the current stage of development.
