| Summary: | Background. This paper focuses on study of optical properties of graphene accounting for the effects of the surrounding media. The purpose of the study is to build a method for finding an approximate solution to a diffraction problem of TM-wave on a twodimensional infinite slab covered with graphene from one side and having an absolutely conducting wall on the other side. Materials and methods. Using Green’s functions approach, the diffraction problem is reduced to a boundary integral equation involving integral operators with kerrs having logarithmic singularity. The method allowing to calculate the integrals with singularities is applied. Conclusions. The developed method allows to solve efficiently the diffraction problem of TM-wave on a slab with graphenecovering. The main advantege of this method is it imposes no restrictions on the parameters of the problem and is applicable in a wide frequency range. |
