| Summary: | By analyzing the current state of talent cultivation in home-based elderly care related disciplines in China, this study addresses existing issues such as insufficient policy support and industry incentives, imbalanced curriculum design that neglects "data literacy and humanistic education", a mismatch between teacher training and practical application, low professional identity among students, and superficial industry-academia collaboration. Based on the experience gained from the vocational education talent cultivation model of relevant programs at the author's institution, the following solutions are proposed: aligning with national policy directions; implementing outcome-oriented curriculum design; fostering students' humanistic literacy; strengthening teachers' focus on fundamental educational principles; cultivating students' professional identity in elderly care; and establishing mutually beneficial industry-academia partnerships. These measures aim to advance the sustainable growth of home-based elderly care disciplines in line with societal needs and national strategic goals. |
