Description
Summary:The new organic 3,4-diaminobenzophenone semihydrate (34ABPH) is grown by slow evaporation method. The compound crystallizes in the monoclinic space group: C2. The unit cell dimensions are (8) Å, (2) Å, (10) Å, and β = 99.40 (2)° with . The crystal structure analysis reveals that the C13H12N2O molecules chains are organized into a double ribbon in the (b,c) plane. The structural components interact by N–H⋯O and O–H⋯O hydrogen bonds, building up a two-dimensional network. The presence of functional groups in the molecular structure is confirmed by the Fourier transform infrared (FT-IR) spectroscopy. Thermogravimetric analysis (TGA) confirms the presence of the water molecule.
