description This research analyzes the implications of the principles found in the Makan Sapa tradition of the Toba Batak culture in Samosir Regency on interreligious communication. The Batak of Samosir community places great importance on cultural adherence in every aspect of life, including interactions with individuals from different religious backgrounds. Unlike the Samosir society's belief that religion is a matter of personal interpretation, Batak cultural values, and customs are deeply rooted in every aspect of life. Due to this principle, the Samosir people are widely recognized for their exceptional tolerance towards religious diversity. This investigation combines an anthropological contextualization model with a qualitative field study model. The data comprises a combination of primary and secondary sources. The data analysis process begins with the following steps: data collection, data reduction, and conclusion. The analytical methods employed are descriptive analysis and content analysis. Given the descriptive nature of this study, every individual piece of information is presented descriptively. The findings of this study indicate that the intrinsic qualities of Makan Sapa are highly pertinent in the context of interreligious communication.
