description Background. Changes in the formation of the «I-concept» can lead to deviant behavior. Deviant behavior of children is a problem, as identification and correction requires a lot of effort. Deviant behavior can manifest itself in different behaviors. The article emphasizes the importance of studying the «I-concept» in children with deviant behavior, since changes in its formation can cause these deviations, the conducted experiment is described, and the results are presented. The peculiarities of the «I-concept» in schoolchildren with deviant behavior were revealed. Purpose – to study the peculiarity of the «I-concept» of children with deviant behavior. Materials and methods. Theoretical analysis and generalization of psychological literature; empirical methods: self-attitude questionnaire (V. V. Stolin S. R. Panteleev), SAT test (E. L. Shostrom); method of mathematical statistics U-Mann Whitney criterion. During the study, the features of the formation were determined. «I am concepts» in children with deviant behavior. Results. The results of the study on the self-attitude questionnaire by V. V. Stolin and S. R. Panteleev. Children who are registered in school often have high self-esteem and consider their destructive behavior to be the norm. They may show rudeness, use illegal substances and participate in bullying, considering such behavior acceptable. This contributes to isolation in the circle of such children and reinforces deviant behavior. The results of the study on the SAT test (E. L. Shostrom) showed that children who are registered in school face problems that affect the formation of adequate self-esteem. They have difficulty with spontaneity, do not know how to perceive aggression correctly, do not respect their opinion or, conversely, put it above the opinions of others. Summing up the overall results, it can be noted that students with deviant behavior face difficulties in forming normal self-esteem and stability. These problems require further research and the development of measures for correction and monitoring, taking into account the various grounds and consequences of deviant behavior. EDN: YRMHIR
