Description
Summary:The article presents a clinical case of a coarse scar formation at the site of full-thickness resection of the lower eyelid for basal cell carcinoma. Given the tendency of this type of tumor to be locally invasive and its high recurrence rate (even after complete removal with negative histopathological margins), high caution should be taken and additional diagnostic options should not be neglected, such as, for example, studying of tissue autofluorescence, as well as timely biopsy.
