Description
Summary:The organization of the VI Pan American Games in Cali, Colombia, in 1971, meant a milestone in the history of the city and the country. The organization of the games was understood from the institutional framework as an opportunity to leverage urban processes in the city; however, the social and cultural processes that the city was experiencing from previous decades allowed the emergence of other visions such as the one offered by the documentary Oiga Vea! (1972), directed by Luis Ospina and Carlos Mayolo. In the present text, we analyze the film considering the perspective of critical discourse analysis and the vision of the committed documentary of the time.
