Summary:ABSTRACT Objectives: to reflect on the alignment between the four action areas of the Decade of Healthy Ageing and the Sustainable Development Goals, analyzed in light of the nursing care pathway for older adults. Methods: a reflective essay based on the Sustainable Development Goals and the Decade of Healthy Ageing documents, guided by the concepts of nursing care pathways for older adults. Results: the reflection included 11 of the 17 Sustainable Development Goals related to the four areas investigated and nursing care pathway: Older adults, Family, Nursing care, and Nursing research. Final Considerations: the nursing care pathway for older adults, as aligned with the principles of policies for sustainable and healthy aging, enables nurses to lead the process of ensuring a more dignified life for the older population.
