description Tulostoma australianum is reported for the first time from the Mexican mycobiota, while T. dumeticola, T. macrocephalum and T. wrightii are recorded for the second time from Mexico. All of the studied species are poorly known worldwide, and more knowledge about their morphological variability and distribution is required. Species descriptions, photographs of basidiomes, as well as micrographs of spores and capillitium are presented. Tulostoma exitum, T. operculatum, and T. puncticulosum are discarded from Mexican mycobiota because these species are synonyms.
