This article examines the mechanisms and territorial dynamics of this performative democratic model through an in-depth examination of an archetypal case study: the municipal governance of Saillans, a village in the Drôme region, during the period 2014-2020, which emerged following the election of a citizen-led list. By interrogating this empirical instance, the research illuminates the pivotal territorial conditions that catalyzed the Saillans experiment and explicates the consequent socio-spatial transformations and reconfiguration of existing socio-political structures |
