Description
Summary:This article proposes a study of the poetics that Duras journalist invents in weekly news magazines, taking an interest in the posture of Antigone that she assumes during the 1950s. How did she engage in History through her journalistic writing? After an analysis of her interventions in the Algerian War by means of France Observateur and 14 Juillet, the article focuses on her way of doing politics : she talks about everyday life. From fait divers to the interview, via the judicial reporting, we explore the refinement of her “genre d’anecdote humaine”. Besides the literalization of her journalistic writing, “le journalisme au féminin” is another way of removing the implicit constraints imposed by the newspaper’s gendered model. Finally, the influence of this journalistic work on her literary writing is a problematic with a high heuristic potential, which leads us to understand to which extent the written press constitutes an important site for the search for a writing of its own.
