| description | This study explores a unique approach to enhancing workplace thriving among data scientists through innovative mechanisms that require no heroic measures or financial investments. Focusing on decision-making discretion, information sharing, incivility reduction, and performance feedback, this paper examines their direct impact on employee thriving and the mediating role of psychological resilience in this relationship. The data science field is characterized by its dynamic nature and intricate demands, making it imperative to understand how these factors influence professionals' well-being and productivity. Drawing from existing literature and organizational psychology theories, this research sheds light on the interconnectedness of these factors and their contribution to creating a conducive work environment for data scientists. The data is collected and analyzed among 315 data scientists respondents in India. SPSS and AMOS software was used to analyze the data and the hypothesis was tested using the SEM Model. The results indicate that decision-making discretion, information sharing, incivility reduction, and performance feedback have a significant and positive impact on thriving at work. The mediation model confirms that psychological resilience mediates the relationship between these factors and thriving at work, with performance feedback showing partial mediation. The findings suggest that fostering these dimensions can enhance workplace thriving, with psychological resilience playing a critical mediating role. This research provides valuable insights into creating supportive and thriving work environments for data scientists through non-financial and practical mechanisms. This study provides valuable insights for human resources and management professionals seeking to create an environment that supports the thriving of data scientists, ultimately leading to enhanced individual and organizational success. |
