Summary:Constitutional matters were supposed to have been settled in Scotland with the 2014 independence referendum. Yet they re-emerged in the run-up to the 2015 General Election, through traditional issues (the powers of the Scottish Parliament, the prospect of independence) as well as the question of the legitimacy of the SNP in British politics. They will remain high on the political agenda thanks to the SNP's landslide.
