Summary:When the maglev train runs at medium and high speed based on the long stator linear synchronous motor (LSLSM), the position information of the motor can’ t be accurately obtained by the traditional on-board position sensor, and the position information is susceptible to interference. A position identification method based on sliding mode observer was proposed. Based on the analysis of the sensitivity of stator resistance, <italic>d</italic>-axis inductance and <italic>q</italic>-axis inductance of sliding mode observer, a position identification method of LSLSM based on <italic>q</italic>-axis inductance correction was provided, which could improve the position observation accuracy and system reliability. The correctness of the proposed method was verified by digital simulation and magnetic levitation test line.
