| Summary: | This electronic resource review evaluates the Material ConneXion (MCX) database. The review considers the MCX database’s authority, scope, record format, search, user interface, user experience, design, added features, support, and pricing. It also explores the general limitations and makes suggestions for improvement. The MCX database is categorized by chemical composition of the materials, comprising eight distinct categories. The MCX database was found to be an excellent resource, both for curated materiality content and for UX/UI and functionality.
