description In this article we will analyse one of the communication and interaction strategies used by two Argentinean museums in the confinement during the pandemic caused by SARS COV-2: The Latin American Museum of Art of Buenos Aires (MALBA), privately managed and international in scope and The Provincial Museum of Fine Arts “Emilio Pettoruti”, public and with less impact. These museums proposed the audience to recreate works of art with elements and clothing available in their houses, which were photographed and uploaded in the institutions’ Instagram. We observed that these proposals generated the audience participation and a more active role on their part. The presence of everyday life elements, children's involvement, production of digital contents demystifying the works of art were some of the features of these cases. Finally, we wonder about the scope of this great interaction within the framework of critical museology.
