| Summary: | Isolated talonavicular dislocation is a rare injury, often occurring as a result of high-energy trauma. We present a case of a 43-year-old male who sustained a talonavicular dislocation and an avulsion fracture of the talus after falling from a height of 3 meters. Diagnostic imaging, including X-rays and CT scans, confirmed the injury, and the patient was treated with closed reduction and stabilization using K-wires and an external fixator. The patient made a full recovery after postoperative rehabilitation. This case emphasizes the importance of prompt and accurate diagnosis, the utility of advanced imaging techniques for surgical planning, and the effectiveness of appropriate surgical intervention in achieving a favorable outcome in complex injuries. Such cases add to the growing body of evidence regarding the effective treatment of talonavicular dislocations. |
