Despite appropriate antibiotic therapy, the patient’s symptoms persisted, leading to an eventual diagnosis of systemic juvenile idiopathic arthritis (sJIA). This case highlights the importance of distinguishing between septic arthritis and sJIA because early misdiagnosis can lead to delayed treatment and potential complications. |
