Summary:Globally, the prevalence of obesity and its associated comorbidities is increasing. Traditionally, the primary modalities for the treatment of obesity have included lifestyle interventions, pharmacological approaches, and bariatric surgery. However, endoscopic bariatric therapy, a more recent development, is emerging as a significant tool for the management of obesity and metabolic disorders. This review seeks to elucidate the latest advancements in metabolic bariatric endoscopy, highlighting their respective merits and limitations and offering insights into potential future research directions.
