| Summary: | „Mica” Company, through the mining complex it owned in Brad area in the Apuseni mountains, was to be the largest gold producer in Romania between the 20s and the 40s of the twentieth century. The operation of the mining complex in Brad area, including mining sites, processing units, a power plant, a railway system, as well as social and cultural facilities, needed work force. Our study focuses on the way in which the managers of „Mica” Company, especially the ones of „Mica” Brad, selected and trained this work force in order to cope with the complexity of production activities. |
