description Scalp electrical burns unsuitable for primary closure after debridement have traditionally been treated by modalities that cause significant morbidity and are aesthetically inferior to tension-free primary wound closure. Due to advances in research on the biomechanical properties of skin, various devices for skin stretching and safe wound closure have been reported in the literature that are expensive and inaccessible to poor people in the developing countries. We present our experience using cable ties as an effective, easy to use, readily available, and inexpensive top closure system.
