Description
Summary:This research paper analyzes the complex relationship between migration patterns and gender dynamics in the Kosi division of Bihar, India. Through an economic lens, this study tries to analyze migration's impact on various aspects of gender roles, preferred destination states, household incomes, etc. The Kosi division of Bihar has shown a significant outflow of migrants from time to time due to both push and pull factors of migration. This gives this area a unique ground to examine the complexities between migration patterns and gender-based socio-economic structure. This research is based on a mixed-methods approach, combining quantitative and qualitative data analysis gathered through the questionnaire survey method and structured interview schedules of migrants from the Kosi division of Bihar.
