Description
Summary:This study was conducted at a local company's material unloading station. The objective was to determine the level of postural risk to which workers in that area are exposed. An ergonomic evaluation was performed using the REBA method, and the task was simulated using 3DSSPP® software. The results obtained from these evaluations revealed that the REBA risk level for the unloading station requires an action level of 4, requiring immediate containment. This suggests that the workstation has ergonomic problems and requires a redesign of the station. The activities of placing a tray of material in the container and placing a tray of material on a platform cart at a midpoint were simulated using 3DSSPP® biomechanical analysis software. It is concluded that the design of this work area generates a high postural load on the back, arms, and wrists. Therefore, changes must be made to improve the worker's posture and correct their center of mass to a safe area.
