Summary:Hyperboloidal-type normal circular-arc gear is a novel technology in which the circular-arc tooth profile is developed into the gear pair with crossed axis.Based on the transmission theory and the mismatch theory,the design method of hyperboloidal-type normal circular-arc gear pair with point contact is proposed.The directrix and the generatrix for generating the real tooth surface are deduced.On the UG-based platform,a 3D model of hyperboloidal-type normal circular-arc gear pair with point contact is constructed,and a motion simulation is conducted to verify the transmission theory and the design method.
