| description | This article relates the research results about traditional handicraft and its outcomes for education. This work integrates a set of actions developed by the Universidade Federal Fluminense’s extension program in Oriximina, the Brazilian Amazonia. Accordingly, we value the handicraft inventory experience in its methodological aspect, especially in a didactic perspective. We are particularly interested in analyzing the central role observed among the Katxuyana Indigenous people, who turned from objects of research into the researchers of their own traditional knowledge. Our approach includes both the research of the handicraft inventory between the years 2010 to 2011 and the experiences in etnoeducation carried out by the Katuxyana between the years 2012 to 2013. |
