A study on the impact mechanism of green electricity trading on the decision-making behavior of carbon market participants from the perspective of carbon measurement

With the continuous expansion of the electricity market and the carbon market, the cross-management between the two parties has led to significant institutional friction. Existing research primarily focuses on the impact of green electricity on the consumption of renewable energy. However, there is...

description With the continuous expansion of the electricity market and the carbon market, the cross-management between the two parties has led to significant institutional friction. Existing research primarily focuses on the impact of green electricity on the consumption of renewable energy. However, there is still a lack of in-depth analysis of the coupling mechanism between green electricity and the carbon market, particularly regarding its specific impact on profits and decision-making behaviors of power generation enterprises. This paper employs a system dynamics model combined with carbon measurement methods to conduct a simulation analysis of the carbon market in Guangdong province from the perspective of production costs and profits of power generation enterprises. It examines key factors such as renewable energy consumption weight policy regulation, green electricity prices, and the proportion of green electricity deductions in the carbon market, and their impact on the decision-making behaviors of carbon market entities. The study deconstructs the complex mechanisms of green electricity trading and carbon market interaction, highlights the importance of carbon measurement and monitoring in accurately assessing carbon emissions and guiding market behavior, and proposes research directions for optimizing the coupling mechanism of the electricity and carbon markets.
