| Summary: | This article analyzes «Els Grans Poemes de l’Emperador Iang-Po-Tzu» and the edition of number 9 of the magazine Poesia, the two contributions that Josep Palau i Fabre made to the incipient tanka tradition in Catalan, and compares them with the prevailing model at that time, that of Carles Riba. Faced with Riba’s reluctance towards this poetical form, Palau i Fabre claims its Asian origin, its feminine nature and its validity to create great poetry. |
