The use of prestressing in steel-concrete structures is quite a new phenomenon. In SP 266.1325800.2016 there are no recommendations on prestressing of steel-reinforced concrete structures.The aim of the study is to evaluate the effect of prestressing on the stress-strain state of steel-concrete beams.Application of prestressing in steel-concrete beams allows to optimize their material intensity. The methodology and results of numerical investigations on the basis of computer modeling are given. Experimental studies of steel-concrete beams are carried out. The results of full-scale tests are analyzed and compared with the data of numerical experiments.
