description Vibration phenomena can be seen everywhere in our daily life, and finding their amplitude frequency relationship (AFR) quickly and accurately is of great significance. This study looks into the attachment oscillator that plays a major role in the field of the nanophysics. An interesting and simple method, that is based on the average residual theory and ancient Chinese algorithm-Ying Bu Zu Shu (盈不足术), is employed to deal with the problem. The AFR of the considered vibration is performed. Compared with the other methods, a well agreement is achieved, which strongly reveals the correctness and effectiveness of the presented method. The method adopted in this work is expected to provide some guiding significance for the study of vibration theory in the nanophysics.
