Description
Summary:Medical-economical standards are the analog of the classifiers of the diagnostically related groups (DRG). They are used as refunds to the hospitals from the insurance companies. The first to develop the DRG was Robert Fetter, the professor at the Yale University in the USA, in 1983, and used them to reduce increasing expenditures on the public health system (programs Medicare and Medicaid). In Russian system of public health the DRG could be used as means of determination of the costs of treatment in hospitals.
