| Summary: | Psoriasis is a chronic inflammatory dermatosis, which causes hyperproliferation of skin. Patients afflicted with psoriasis are also at a risk of developing nonmelanoma skin cancers, with the risk of such a possibility being attributed to the administration of systemic immunosuppressive agents, phototherapy, and biological agents. We present a case of psoriasis with de novo development of squamous cell carcinoma, in a photoprotected site, with no history of administration of systemic immunosuppressive agents, phototherapy, or biological agents. |
