Research on the critical precipitation index of landslide based on GIS

In this paper, based on the general survey data of landslide and meteorology data and with the aid of GIS technology and precipitation simulation model, the correlation between landslide and rainfall in Qingyuan County of ZheJiang Province was studied. It is shown that rainfall is one of the most im...

description In this paper, based on the general survey data of landslide and meteorology data and with the aid of GIS technology and precipitation simulation model, the correlation between landslide and rainfall in Qingyuan County of ZheJiang Province was studied. It is shown that rainfall is one of the most important external factors in occurrence of landslide. The temporal and spatial distribution of landslide in Qingyuan is affected by that of rainfall and related to geological conditions and human impact. The occurrence time of landslide accords with or lags behind that of rainfall and rainstorm. The threshold value of rainfall that triggers landslide is 50 mm rainfall in one day or 100mm accumulative rainfall in 10 days.
