| Summary: | Transport is one of the main branches of material production, carrying passengers and cargo. Its parameters largely determine the country's security, competitiveness, quality ofpopulation's life and also the fundamental basis for the development and distribution ofproductive forces of the Republic in the formation of the territorial structure of its economy. The aim of this work is the economic - geographical assessment of the transport system in the KBR, the analysis of the main types of transport, and problems which are associated with the development of economy of the Republic. The practical significance of the research is to develop programs for the development of transport in the North Caucasus. |
